We will provide scholarships to start-ups providing them placement in our co-working space which will give them valuable access to our ecosystem.
The co-working space has a large informal break-out space, state of the art meeting rooms, conference rooms, print scan copy facilities, video conferencing capability, reception service and high speed NBN grade wifi.
We will provide our start-ups access with in-house and external mentorship, as well as providing access to members on the DIH advisory board.
We will develop a series of mentorship programs with aligned partners such as, Charles Darwin University, Oxford University Innovation and CBR Innovation Network, to support Northern Territory start-ups seeking to “go global.”
We will host workshops with leading industry stakeholders to identify problem statements and challenge start-ups to develop solutions. Targeting one problem statement a month, start-ups will be invited to participate in workshops identify and then solve industry challenges.
We will provide our start-ups access to Experts as provided for under the Federal Incubator Support Program. They will transfer commercialisation skills and incubator management skills to start-ups and key DIH team members.
We are developing a program to support, and grow indigenous start-ups and build a national deal flow of Indigenous business through the NT. Indigenous businesses from all over Australia will be encouraged to commercialise their innovations in the Northern Territory and identify their specific set of indigenous industry problem statements that they need to solve in concert with National and International stakeholders interested in their respective businesses.
We will work to develop a program in cross cultural skills readying companies for access into the Chinese innovation market. This will be achieved through direct advisory relationships with industry specialists, providing Australian start-ups access to venture capital and commercialisation opportunities in China.
In particular we will work with our start-ups on project viability, licensing, marketing channels, barriers to entry and other value added support services.
