Darwin Innovation Hub appointed as one of 7 Delivery Partners of the Entrepreneurs’ Program across Australia

As the Founder and CEO of the Darwin Innovation Hub (DIH), I take great pride in writing to you today, to inform you that after a rigorous and competitive tender process we have been appointed by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources as one of 7 Delivery Partners of the Entrepreneurs’ Program across Australia.

The Entrepreneurs’ Program helps Australian businesses to improve their growth capabilities and networks, engage with researchers, foster innovation and encourage commercialization of novel products, processes and services. It provides advice and facilitation services to small and medium business to help build capacity, improve capability, extend networks and take advantage of growth opportunities in Australian and/or markets in other countries.

Since our inception in 2017, the Darwin Innovation Hub has grown exponentially into a world class Incubator and Innovation Center for the Northern Territory. We have established connections with leading partners across a range of sectors, including business, Universities, agencies and research and development centers. All of these relationships assist us to develop industry, harness our networks in order to support our clients and provides us with valuable insights that we use to further develop economic reports and data for our funding partners, our ability to attract further investment into the Territory, and provides us with a reputation of being a Leader in the business development, growth, incubation and innovation space.

What happens next?

We have identified a number of highly skilled Facilitators that provided letters of intent to our tender to deliver upon these services. They cover all facets of business development and growth including: process and project management, marketing, finance, digital transformation and partnerships, research connections, product development and manufacturing, corporate advisory and supply chain facilitation, across a broad range of industries, specifically selected to attend to the growing and emerging industries of the Northern Territory.

We will also be undertaking an intensive and competitive recruitment process for additional Facilitators, and further details will be released in the coming days.

All of our sub-contracted and employed Facilitators will be placed upon stringent agreements that reflect upon and that are in line with our obligations and commercial strategy to deliver the Program. We expect to be in a position to have drafts of these contracts completed over the coming weeks in accordance with the Departments implementation timeline.

All placed positions come with the approval of the Department.

Delivery of the Program begins on the 1st of July 2020.
