Darwin rises to #2 in latest Cities on the Rise report from LinkedIn

Looking to start a new business? Australia’s smallest capital city could offer entrepreneurs some of the country’s best opportunities.

Our very own Dante St James was featured recently by LinkedIn Australia to explain what the Darwin Difference is, and how surprising industries are fuelling growth here.

Darwin placed number two on LinkedIn’s Cities of the Rise list, reflecting strong momentum in jobs, hiring and migration.

Dante St James, Innovation and Digital Solutions Manager at the Darwin Innovation Hub, says the city has a great reputation for starting a business.

“There’s access to grants that you wouldn’t normally get anywhere else in Australia,” he tells LinkedIn News. “In all these cases, it’s a lot less competitive to get hold of that support.”

Watch the video and share your thoughts about which Australian city offers the best opportunities for entrepreneurs.
