Digital R&D Support Program
Research support through our Data Lab and R&D Facility
Data Lab and R&D Facility
Through our partnership with Charles Darwin University and AARNet, the Darwin Innovation Hub is proud to announce it has been awarded a grant under the Northern Territory Government 2019 Digital Partnerships Program to build and operate a high tech Data Lab and Research & Development Facility in the Hub, scheduled to open in 2020 and to be named our “Compute Facility”.
The DIH compute facility will provide start-ups and companies undertaking research and development access to a 1GB internet (scalable up to 10 GB) data connection via AARNet free of charge.
AARNet is a not-for-profit company that provides ultra high-speed Internet and collaboration services only to Australia’s research and education sector. Researchers and developers applying to use this facility will be required to enter in to a DIH user agreement that is consistent with AARNet user policy and guidelines.
As this exciting project develops and becomes a reality we will share more information on how you can become a part of it!!
