Broadband for the Bush Forum VII

June 7, 2018 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm ACST

broadband
After six years of vibrant discussion, it’s time to take stock of the advances in connectivity and digital inclusion in regional, rural and remote Australia and ask the question, what comes next?
  • What lessons have we learned?
  • Which approaches are working?
  • Where are challenges and opportunities?
  • How can we achieve more?

We invite you to join us to consider the success stories and our shared digital evolution as we look to the future of digital technology and social inclusion in regional, rural and remote Australia.

The Darwin Innovation Hub’s Program Director Janet Kosic will be presenting at the forum on Friday. Janet will be presenting on the ideas of “Innovating the North”.

The Broadband for the Bush Alliance is excited to announce our 2018 forum program to be held in Darwin at Charles Darwin University. The Alliance continues to bring together people who are passionate in creating a vibrant, connected and creative Australia – in particular rural regional and remote communities.
We have some new features including:
  • The ABCs “Big Ideas from the Bush” – A panel discussion moderated by Cathy Van Extel from ABC
  • Influencing to accelerate action on digital inclusion- why, what, and how?” – Steamed Plenary facilitated by John Huigen – The Australian Digital Inclusion Alliance
  • A hands on Workshop Facilitated by JimWyatt( Optimi Digital)  “How can communities secure better broadband?”

Plus a valuable networking opportunity for all delegates and speakers.
