ON Prime

Join us for the ON Prime 3 Final Showcase Presentations live streaming at the HUB to support teams from the Northern Territory!

During the presentation, we will be hearing from research teams who will be sharing some of the next big sci-tech innovations and emerging technologies to shape our nation’s future.

ON Prime is the national sci-tech pre-accelerator, powered by CSIRO, designed to arm researchers with the skills and connections they need to validate an application of their research in market and discover pathways to impact.

Be inspired by the graduating teams as they share:

  • Insights on how their research may deliver impact
  • The market and customer learnings gained through the ON Prime experience
  • How their big ideas have evolved and what’s next for their team

Check out the teams representing the Northern Territory for ON Prime3 Northern Australia:

Interplay – Flinders University

The Interplay Wellbeing Framework is a statistical system to map and strengthen wellbeing for Indigenous Australians that has utility in other groups. Stories and numbers are integrated to measure cultural values and social impact. It can be used to design, evaluate and visualise the wellbeing impacts of programs. This is an impact driven, scientifically validated approach that statistically compares and monitors wellbeing over time, providing a roadmap to change.

EmojiFit Diabetes – Charles Darwin University

One in eleven people around the word have diabetes, and of that number 85 to 90% of them suffer type 2 diabetes. Most people with type 2 diabetes don’t have access to the information and support they need to manage their blood sugar, blood pressure and blood fats well. This places them at high risk for the complications of diabetes, heart disease, stroke, amputations, kidney disease, blindness and sexual health problems. We have developed an app, using emojis and pictograms, to enable people with type 2 diabetes, wherever they are and whatever their background, to make evidence-based decisions about how best to make the lifestyle changes to reduce their risks for diabetes complications.

Natrocleanz – Griffith University

We have a unique undiscovered natural product which has the potential to improve the wellbeing of many people. Additionally – the potential to improve the educational prospects for pre-adolescent children of remote northern Australian Indigenous communities is anticipated from product sales. In Northern Australian horticulture this is a well suited species which we envisage will attract a broad marketplace interest from domestic and international clients.

Registration is at 9am
