Esper Satellites and Atomionics to showcase exploration breakthroughs at the Territory’s leading geoscience event–AGES 2025

Esper Satellites, winner of Croc Pitch 2024, and Atomionics, winner of Croc Pitch 2022, are headed to the Territory’s flagship exploration event—AGES 2025—to showcase breakthrough technologies designed to bring down costs and boost the accuracy of critical minerals exploration in the Territory.

Run by the NT Geological Survey, the Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar (AGES) is where geoscientists, explorers and industry leaders converge to share fresh data, insights and ideas. It’s a space to connect, collaborate and drive exploration forward—Territory style.

Backed by Paspalis Capital and supported by the Darwin Innovation Hub, both Esper and Atomionics are tackling exploration challenges head-on, each bringing unique approaches to solving key exploration challenges in the Territory.

Esper Satellites has developed short-wave hyperspectral imaging technology that identifies the spectral signatures of critical minerals from space. This remote sensing method focuses on the Earth’s surface and detects subtle mineral indicators not visible to the human eye. It complements traditional geochemical survey techniques by expanding the scale and speed of analysis. Explorers can use this data to narrow down drilling targets, cutting down the high false positive rate—often over 90%—linked to current exploration programs. This means companies can reduce costs and improve discovery efficiency across large and remote areas!

Atomionics, on the other hand, is focused underground. Atomionics uses a geophysical survey technique. Their quantum gravimeter measures minute changes in gravity caused by differences in underground rock density. This allows exploration teams to map the subsurface and detect buried mineral deposits.

So how do these companies’ technologies work together?

Together, these technologies are game-changing. Esper points explorers to the most promising areas on the surface. Atomionics confirms what lies underneath. This integrated approach can help reduce environmental impact, lower costs, and boost exploration success across the Northern Territory.

Their involvement in AGES 2025 reflects the Territory’s growing role in supporting innovation-led exploration. It also highlights how DIH and Paspalis are helping bring global technologies to local industries—driving value not only for investors, but for the future of the Territory’s resources sector!
