Go Locum secures $350,000 Seed Funding from Paspalis

Go Locum Secures $350,000 Seed Funding for Global Expansion and New App Launch

Medical staffing platform Go Locum, designed to connect doctors with temporary roles in regional and remote areas, has raised $350,000 in Seed funding from Darwin’s first Venture Capital Fund Paspalis Innovation Investment Fund. This investment will drive the startup’s international growth and the launch of a new app to enhance locum recruitment across Australia.

Established in 2022 by Dr. Joshua Case and Phoebe Bardsley, Go Locum has quickly built a network of over 2,500 health professionals on social media. The platform uses AI to automate credentialing and match healthcare workers to roles in underserved regions.

Go Locum’s recent partnership with Rosata Recruitment has launched Go Ireland, a program encouraging a gap year exchange between Australia and Ireland. This initiative is led by entrepreneur Ronan Corrigan, co-founder of one of the largest locum agencies globally.

Paspalis Innovation Investment Fund investment manager Alex Farrugia said Go Locum is tackling the acute challenge of demand outstripping supply in remote healthcare.

“Their digital solution addresses the critical need for flexible staffing while empowering medical professionals—a win-win that could reshape the industry globally, he said”.
