2019 will be the third year that the Darwin Innovation Hub hosts #GovHack, and this year also signals GovHack’s 10th birthday!
Last week, we held the NT Connections Event in collaboration with Desert Knowledge Australia to help give people a better understanding of GovHack and what to expect in this years competition.
We also heard from GovHack alumni Aldrin, who encouraged people to get out of their comfort zone and speak to someone different. Aldrin first attended GovHack in 2017, 2 weeks after moving to Australia.
Aldrin joined GovHack to meet other people in the IT industry and to showcase his skills. One of biggest highlights for Aldrin has been the connections he has formed and the friendships that have grown from there.
I think, at these kind of events, winning is not the core value but the connections you make and the impression you left with other people as well.

Registrations for GovHack 2019 will be opening in a couple of weeks! Keep an eye on GovHack for more details.
