GovHack is back!
We are so happy to be a part of GovHack again this year! 2017 was the first time the national Hack-a-Thon was held in the Northern Territory and what a fantastic weekend it was! We are aiming to make 2018 bigger and better!
Are you a data cruncher, coder, visual designer, story teller or otherwise creatively minded? It’s all about encouraging and celebrating our technical and creative capacity with government for great outcomes, and building upon the social and economic value of Open Data published by government. GovHack is for everyone – the best teams have a mix of skills, so even if you are unsure about how your skills would fit then make sure you come along as I am sure you’ll find a great team where you can contribute plenty of value.
If you missed out last year, we would love to see you in Alice Springs or Darwin for this years Hack-a-Thon!
We are hosting Connections Events in both Alice Springs and Darwin to provide you with an overview of what to expect on the weekend, the competition and answer any questions you may have. The best teams have a mix of skills, and this event is the perfect place to find a team to join.
GovHack is not just for geeks, but if you are not sure if it is for you, come along and find out more. Data Mentors will be in attendance to share their knowledge of open government data and to provide insight that could help incubate ideas to pursue during the competition. Tech Savvy mentors may even be available to share some tips and tricks to help you create winning concepts.
