Mr Paroulakis is CEO of the Paspalis Group of Companies.
In this role he has overarching responsibility across the companies 3 main business units: venture capital investment, the Darwin Innovation Hub and its commercial property division.
Career milestones include establishing the Northern Territory’s first venture capital fund in 2018 and the Darwin Innovation Hub which became the first national recipient of the Federal Incubator Support Program in 2017.
In 2019 Mr Paroulakis completed several deals, including direct investments in to SPEE3D, a 3D metal printing technology; Aliena, a satellite propulsion technology based in Singapore and Equatorial Launch Australia, an Australian start-up developing the Arnhem Space Centre in Nhulunbuy.
Mr Paroulakis is a member of the Australian Investment Council and has held senior executive positions with the Northern Territory Government, the Foundation Capital Innovation Investment Fund and Merrill Lynch.
Mr Paroulakis is a patron of the arts and strong advocate of the Australian National Innovation and Science Agenda. He is passionate about building Australia’s North and brings with him an extensive network of co-investment partners and research collaborators known to him throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Mr Paroulakis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University and Victorian Certificate of Education from Scotch College, Melbourne.
