With thousands of fans expected, and with the support of the Southern Districts Crocs Football Club this campaign is about to take centre stage, sharing its simple but game-changing message: kindness and inclusion matter.
How It All Kicked Off
In 2024, YCSWM joined forces with Paspalis to bring their movement of kindness to the NT. With the help of Brooke Young—NT ambassador for YCSWM and Community & Administrative Officer at the Darwin Innovation Hub—founder Sophie Sparks connected with local schools and launched pilot programs at Leanyer Primary School and Stuart Park Primary School. These schools were the first in the Territory to embrace the initiative, helping kids stand up to bullying, make new mates, and create a culture of inclusivity.
What’s it all about? The yellow wristband. A symbol that says, “You’re welcome here.” It’s simple, effective, and turning heads nationwide, transforming schoolyards, sports clubs, and communities across Australia.
A Winning Partnership: YCSWM x Crocs
Now, the Southern Districts Crocs Football Club has teamed up with YCSWM to take the campaign to one of Darwin’s biggest sporting events. The Croc’s believe in promoting more than the game—they see the game as a chance to show how sports clubs can lead the charge in creating welcoming, supportive and inclusive communities.
On game day, you’ll hear from Sophie Sparks herself, sharing the inspiring story behind YCSWM and how it’s creating ripple effects across the country. There’ll also be plenty of merch on offer, like water bottles and bag tags, so you can support the cause and wear your kindness loud and proud
Why Darwin Needs This
Here’s the reality: nearly 1 in 4 kids experience bullying regularly. YCSWM is tackling this head-on by making kindness cool and turning small acts into big changes. It’s already in 900+ schools and backed by legends like R U OK?, but the NT is ready to take it to the next level.
And this isn’t just for the kids. The Crocs partnership shows how sports can lead the way in building a culture of respect, inclusion, and looking out for each other—values that go well beyond the game.
Get Involved
This event isn’t just about cheering on your team. It’s about standing up for a more connected, compassionate community. So, grab a wristband, watch the game, and be part of the movement that’s transforming schoolyards, sports fields, and lives across Australia
