SPEE3D Unveils TitanSPEE3D: Transforming Metal 3D Printing

In an exciting development for the world of metal additive manufacturing, Paspalis investee SPEE3D has announced the launch of its latest innovation, the TitanSPEE3D

With a build volume of 2.4m in diameter and 1m in height, a printed part maximum of 2,000kg, and a 4.3m x 4.3m floor area footprint, TitanSPEE3D creates new possibilities for on-demand metal part manufacturing. It joins SPEE3D’s existing family of printers, including XSPEE3D, WarpSPEE3D, and LightSPEE3D, which utilise kinetic energy to deposit a wide range of materials at speeds up to three times faster than the speed of sound.

TitanSPEE3D enables the manufacturing of harder, tougher materials such as 6061 Aluminium, Aluminium Bronze, and 316 Stainless Steel. The process eliminates the need for melting or sintering metal powders, resulting in denser and less porous parts, thus reducing the risk of cracking, warping, or distortion.

Comparing SPEE3D Printers

SPEE3D’s family of metal printers includes the XSPEE3D, WarpSPEE3D, and LightSPEE3D, each designed to meet specific manufacturing needs:

Known for its portability and rugged design, XSPEE3D is ideal for defence and field operations, allowing the production of metal parts on-site in remote locations. It significantly reduces downtime by enabling rapid repairs in the field.

This large-format printer caters to industries requiring robust manufacturing capabilities. WarpSPEE3D can produce metal parts up to Ø1m x 0.7m, making it suitable for various industrial applications.

As the smallest model, LightSPEE3D is perfect for producing smaller, high-precision parts. It combines the benefits of speed and accuracy in a compact form, with the ability to print parts up to Ø350 x 300mm.

Why TitanSPEE3D Stands Out

TitanSPEE3D takes the capabilities of SPEE3D’s technology to a new level:

Larger Build Volume

With a build volume of 2.4m diameter x 1m height, TitanSPEE3D surpasses the capacity of its predecessors, enabling the production of significantly larger parts.

Increased Weight Capacity

TitanSPEE3D can handle parts weighing up to 2,000kg, making it suitable for heavy manufacturing and large-scale industrial applications.

Enhanced Efficiency

Despite its larger size, TitanSPEE3D maintains the speed and reliability of SPEE3D’s CSAM technology, producing high-quality metal parts faster and more efficiently than traditional methods.

The Future of CSAM

TitanSPEE3D will continue SPEE3D’s efforts to refine customers ability to print metal on demand, reducing reliance on supply chains that complicate and slow the manufacturing process. This advancement is expected to minimise operational downtime, reduce waste, and mitigate risks for manufacturers.

TitanSPEE3D will be available to a limited number of beta customers in 2024, with a commercial release slated for 2025. This large-format printer will revolutionise CSAM by refining the ability to print metal on demand, reducing reliance on complicated and slow supply chains.
