My name is William Hurst. I’m the Project Manager for the Local Jobs Fund, part of the Northern Territory Government.
How did you feel listening to this year’s Croc Pitch as a panellist?
Yeah, I feel really encouraged by the companies that have pitched here today. I think there’s a lot of really good ideas that are being put forward. Very innovative and I could see a lot of benefits to the Territory from what they’re proposing to carry out.
What’s been the highlight of Croc Pitch for you?
I was particularly impressed with Flomatrix. They have a hypodermic needle. A drip needle system that is designed to reduce or stop clotting and it looks terrific. It looks like they’re really onto something there. I was also really impressed with another company that are doing some advanced imagery from satellite and in one of their demonstration examples that they did some imagery over the NT and they found some minerals, that’s really exciting to see and I’m interested to see how they progress over the coming years.
What’s been the highlight of Croc Pitch so far?
Honestly, the absolute talent of the public speakers at the moment, and these are people that probably haven’t gone out of their way to do courses or anything like that to speak to a lot of people. But they’ve been so clear, they understand their business, they understand their customers and what they’re trying to build. And I think that’s a really great. There’s no one that’s been stumped or whatnot, it’s been really exciting to see people put themselves forward. So that’s probably been the highlight for me.
Are you enjoying Croc Pitch so far?
Yes, I enjoy it. It’s very interesting, with many interesting participants and I’m impressed hearing the team have such a cool event and I see it’s a great place to be for all of us.
