Transcelestial’s laser technology has been selected for 6GStarLab, marking a key milestone in 6G advancement.

The company’s compact, space-qualified optical terminal is set to launch by the end of 2025, marking its official entry into the European space research ecosystem. This mission is led by i2CAT and represents a significant step in developing non-terrestrial network (NTN) infrastructure for next-generation communications.

At the same time, Transcelestial’s ground-based laser station, TMOGS, will be deployed in Catalonia—its first installation in Europe. This dual deployment allows for real-time space-to-ground laser communication testing, with potential applications ranging from secure optical links to future 6G direct-to-device connectivity.

The project reflects growing European investment in next-gen digital networks and highlights Transcelestial’s expanding global footprint in optical communication.
