G’day, my name is Sam Pattemore. I am the founder and managing director at Corrosion Instrument and we won Croc Pitch in 2019.
What drew you to attend Croc Pitch 2024?
I wanted to see how things were going in the NT. I was interested to see what products and systems and ideas and innovations were being developed here. There’s always a good idea to keep an eye on what’s happening around Darwin.
From your perspective, what’s the value of events like Croc Pitch?
I think they’re entirely valuable. It’s really important to bring people with innovation together, put them in one room. I see a lot of networking happening here. People are feeding off each other. People are sharing ideas, helping each other improve on their ideas and augmenting each other’s innovation.
What drew you to Croc Pitch today?
100% it is. Yeah, it’s 100% is what’s drawn me here. We’ve been kind of sussing it out from afar ultimately, and we’ve tried to get here last year. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to do that, but we’ve got an opportunity to come here today and I’m really excited to see what everyone’s got to put forward.
You are a finalist, what inspired you to take part in Croc Pitch 2024?
Arsh) So basically, when we came up with this idea of having a virtual reality education technology company, so that’s a lot of those words in one statement. We then actually pitched the idea to Dante, and he was all excited like we were. We actually started, you know, prototyping and started learning more about the industry and the market and we found that in Darwin, you can find even at Croc Pitch, that you can meet investors, where you can actually pitch your ideas in front of people that can actually make the idea get commercialised, so that actually inspired us to be in Croc Pitch, and also that it’s pretty good actually. Investors in startup communities are absolutely a wonderful idea for being part of these communities and privilege to us.
Abhi) A bit of an opportunity to get up there and tell your idea to everyone and also just do a little bit of public speaking. Put on a bit of a show and that’s one of the big thing for me.
Arsh) All for making the world a better place.
Abhi) Yes, absolutely.
Hello, I’m Geraden Kennedy and I represent Sol Intelligent Classroom Solutions.
You are a finalist of Croc Pitch. What inspired you to take part in Croc Pitch 2024?
Being able to meet new people in the innovation sector has just been and being able to network with them has been something that just has unparalleled value. So, coming up here from Alice Springs and being able to talk to all these people and seeing these amazing ideas and innovative projects is something that both inspires me and it’s such a great networking event that we couldn’t miss.
